Dear Ms. Elizabeth,

I am writing in response to your advertisement in the Scotiabank website for the position of an Analyst co-op student. I wish to apply because the role represents an ideal next step in my career, and I believe I am an excellent candidate for this position. Please find enclosed a copy of my resume, and degree program transcript.

I am a young, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual who is eager to succeed. Currently a fourth year Bachelor of Commerce – Business Management Honours student, I have completed related courses in project management, operations management, human resources, effective selling and computer applications for business. From the various assignments done for my computer applications courses, I am familiar with using Microsoft Office, especially Excel. I have experience with using solver, and various other tools for course assignments dealing with vlookup and pivot tables while achieving an average GPA of 3.7 on all my computer application courses. I have also gained 3 years of valuable work experience in both full time and part time roles in the department retail industry where I developed the skills needed to work under fast paced and active situations as well as meeting deadlines and working under pressure. In addition, due to the unrelenting pressure to finish tasks on schedule, I am capable of multi-tasking whether it is addressing and fulfilling customer needs, restocking supplies or maintaining a clean-as-you-go attitude while on the job.

Going forward, I feel as If my educational background, personality, and drive are suitable for employment with your company. I am very excited at the thought of contributing within Scotiabank as an Analyst. I hope to have the opportunity to grow my professional career with your company.
