POSITION:

Graduate trainee

In response to the Graduate Trainee Program positions posted in the Total Kenya website, careers page, I am applying for a position within the Finance function of the company. I am expecting to graduate in June 2016 with a Bachelor of Commerce Finance, Second Class Upper. I will also be sitting for my final ACCA exam in June 2016.

I posses skills in research, financial analysis and business strategy and valuations. My academic strengths are in Financial Reporting and Financial management where I have scored as high as 90% in the examinations. As an accounting student, I have gained knowledge in financial reporting, audit and financial management. With an understanding of these I will effectively execute my duties in a financial role in an ethical manner and in the best interest of the company.

Working at Total, will provide me with an opportunity to learn from the best as the company is an industry leader. At Total, I expect challenges that will stimulate me intellectually and result in my professional and personal growth. Total, therefore, is the most suitable place for me to begin my career in finance as I see an opportunity to learn beyond the Kenyan borders, an opportunity to become a leader and an opportunity to grow. For this reasons, I would like to work at Total.

In addition to being technically competent, I am a smart and confident individual who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills which make me an effective team player and fast learner.
