Sample cover letter for Internship position at Toyota

POSITION:

Customer and Technical Support Assistant

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently studying for a BSc International Business and Management degree at Aston University and I am interested in applying for your Customer & Technical Support Assistant Placement which is being advertised on RateMyPlacement website.

For a car enthusiast like me I cannot imagine a bigger motivation than working for such an innovative and prestigious company like Toyota. Having said that, it’s not only the brand that will look good on my CV, but the invaluable work experience I will get from it while doing a job I love. As Robin Giles, Director – HR & Corporate Operations, stated "We want Toyota to be not just a great company, but one of the best", I greatly admire his ambition and appreciate the vision statement he developed for Toyota. That is another reason why I want to be part of Toyota and prove myself as soon as possible.

Having worked for quite some time for Amadeus in the customer service sector gave me an important insight into the day-to-day operations and basic knowledge about key aspects of the role. I really enjoy what I am doing and I would like to further explore the industry and take more responsibility. So, that is exactly why I am so eager to work as a Customer & Technical Support Assistant.

As you can see from my CV, I consider my skill set to be very applicable to the requirements of the role I am applying for. Ì possess and have developed all the essential skills such as time management, team work, communication and adaptability. Moreover, due to the nature of my undergraduate degree I make a constant and efficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Along, with all those skills, my experience as a customer service operative definitely gives me an advantage for the role and having cooperated closely with my line manager and supervisors, leads me to believe I am suitable for this placement and boosts my confidence.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Please see my CV attached along with this cover letter in the e-mail.

Yours faithfully,
