Grad Assistant

Dear Education Department,

I am writing to apply for the Graduate Assistantship position vacant in the Education Department

at UMBC. I am pursuing my Masters of Science in Information Systems with Database Systems as

my major and will graduate in May 2017. I am interested in this position because I have strong

database and reporting skills along with experience presenting and tutoring.

My success in the classroom is evident from my undergraduate GPA of 3.58/4. I also have a

significant amount of work experience as a Software Engineer at Accenture with experience in

SQL Developer, Crystal, Stimulsoft & SSRS reports and as System Admin and many more

technical fields. I have good exposure of the IT professional environment and the work culture

within an University. I received performance rating of 4.2/5 at Accenture. Besides all this, I am

good at accounting and administration management with good leadership and hospitality skills,

hardware and software application management.

In addition to my background and professional experience, I was a member of the core

committee for development of Web Applications and R&D Head of Information Technology

Students Association at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT), Mumbai. I was one of the

volunteers for Accenture and the VIT cleanliness drive across Mumbai. I delivered seminars to

hundreds of people and interacted with them as a Multilevel Marketing Leader as well

performing as a stand-up comedian in front of massive crowds. I led a FunCar Team at Accenture
