Sample cover letter for Internship position at United Nations

I would like to express my interest in taking part of the internship program at the ESCAP East and North-East Asia (ENEA) Office located in Incheon, Republic of Korea. I am deeply interested the five thematic areas of NEASPEC and the opportunity to be able to gain knowledge and experience in the field I have studied in my undergraduate years. As a recent graudate, it would be an honor to be given the opportunity to assist in conducting research on energy security and environmental sustainability through NEASPEC.

During my undergraduate degree, I took courses related to ‘Global Climate Change’ and ‘Earth and Life through Time’ and was amused by them. I am eager to leverage my classroom learning into real world experience. Furthermore, I have been studying French for three years and Portuguese for a year, and I would like to completely dominate these languages. I have gained excellent insights into the world of economics and politics, and strengthened my analytical skills.
