I wish to apply for the post of student information officer (Marketing) as advertised on the on the University of Hertfordshire’s online jobs board, CareerHub, on the 2nd August 2016. I am in my second year of a degree course in Marketing with French.
As you can see you from my enclosed CV, highlighting my considerable experience and knowledge in a number of areas relevant to the post advertised, which I am sure I can put to good use and be an asset to your department. Modules that I passed during my first year show that I have a good understanding of the basics of marketing and my previous working experience highlight my ability to work well as a part of team and adapt in a new environment.
Here is what, specifically, I can deliver in this role, I believe I possess the personal qualities that are essential for this role. I am a well-motivated individual with a can-do attitude to problem solving. Quick to grasp new ideas, creative, imaginative, a good team worker and a good communicator were some of the qualities I had to demonstrate to be promoted to team leader at Sherpa Events, where I have shown myself to be committed, dedicated and reliable employee. I also believe that the knowledge and ability I have developed as a marketing student and in my previous jobs make me a fitting candidate for this role.
To work for a company with such a rich heritage is a wonderful opportunity. Being a student at the University I feel that this is a great opportunity for me to grow professionally in an organisation with such as a great reputation in the business world; who are accredited by 44 external bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the university is undoubtedly a fundamental part of the country’s economic growth. Having been a student at the university for one year, I understand first-hand how you’ve earned your reputation as a thriving and successful higher education provider and as a customer I am highly satisfied and I want to take this opportunity to impress others in the same way I have been so graciously impressed.
