Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Viacom

POSITION:

Associate Technical Producer

I am writing to apply for the Associate Technical Producer position listed on the Viacom Careers webpage. I am attracted to Viacom and this position because of the focus on mobile apps and online games.

Currently, I am a QA Intern at Cartoon Network Digital in the games department. My internship experience has further reinforced my passion for games and game development as I have aided in testing games and apps throughout the development cycle. With my background in QA, I am detail-oriented, a quick learner, and have experience in finding, reproducing, and logging bugs.

As a senior at Emory University, I am pursuing a joint major in Art History/Visual Arts and a minor in Computer Science with an expected graduation date of May 2014. My major and minor have allowed me to develop my creative expression and utilize my critical thinking skills, which can be translated into this position. Additionally, I am experienced in creative applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator and also well-versed in different web and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I also create experimental games in my spare time.

I am extremely interested in the Associate Technical Producer position with Viacom, and I am definitely willing to relocate. I have attached my resume with a link to my personal website and look forward to hearing more about the position.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
