Sample cover letter for Internship position at Women's Center for Wellness

I am a senior at Louisiana State University, majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Fitness Studies and minor in Health Sciences. I am currently enrolled in Exercise Testing and Prescription course, and am seeking an internship for this upcoming summer as part of my course requirement. The internship program at Woman’s Center for Wellness peaked my interest because it offers a multitude of opportunities to gain hands on experience.

Upon graduating, I hope to work in a facility that specializes in health and wellness promotion and eventually open my own Pilates studio. Given the opportunity to further develop my leadership skills and learning how to work with a wide variety of clients both in wellness counseling and group exercise classes will provide me with the tools to achieve my career goals. I feel your facility will offer me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I have gained in the classroom and use it in practice.
