I would apply for the position “Trainee Software Developer”, currently being advertised on your website’s jobs section.

As you can see from my CV, I am currently doing Masters in Computational Engineering at XYZ University Somville, and have completed my Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from M.S.T Institute of Technology, Mars. Therefore, I bring with me knowledge in the principles Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.

This position would be the perfect step towards my professional career as it brings the programming skills I have learned into the real world. During my master I have learned to translate principles of mechanical engineering, which are explained with the help of mathematics to a computer using programming languages such as C++, MATLAB and python.

Apart from my studies, I have also had some professional experience by working part-time as a scientific assistant. My first part time job at SomeITfirm pvt. ltd was my introduction towards software development, when I was responsible for developing a GUI using the QT framework and python as the programming language. In my second job, at AnotherITfirm pvt. ltd, I was responsible for development and maintenance of CMake scripts on Linux and Windows environments.

My systematic way to approach situation, commitment and flexibility has always been appreciated by supervisors and helped to me grow as a responsible employee. During the 12 month training period, I hope to improve my current skills and also learn new skills which I currently lack in the field of software development.

To conclude, along with education, enthusiasm and having lived and studied in three countries (Germany, India and Nigera) I bring international exposure.
