My name is [Name], I’m a junior in Asian Studies at UC Berkeley and I would like to be considered for an internship position at Zynga. In the past I have worked as an extern with Bailey Gardiner an integrated marketing company in the Public Relations division. For two weeks I assisted the PR team on tasks such as researching and creating a media contact list of journalists and bloggers I secured calendar postings for client events and collated editorial calendars clips and mentions. Additionally I drafted a press release and forwarded them to media outlets through VocusPR as well as collected and analyzed data from Twitter Bit.ly Google YouTube and Facebook analytics to measure the success of media campaigns.

Additionally as a member and later executive board member of the Haas Undergraduate Black Business Association (HUBBA) I took on the project of rebranding the club in order to address recruitment and retention issues within the organization. I redesigned the organization’s logo using Adobe Photoshop revamped the application and sponsorship packet and worked with the other executive board members to create a consistent branding of HUBBA through advertising on the UC Berkeley campus as well as in communication with our professional contacts and sponsors.

I am currently heavily involved in Berkeley Microfinance (BMF) an organization dedicated to helping local businesses and startups get the funding and business training they need in order to be successful. I currently work as a Business Training Coordinator where I put together training materials for our clientele with topics such as social media marketing writing a business plan and credit building. Through this experience I have discovered my passion for working with startups and small businesses and bringing them the services and training they need to be successful.

I believe that a position at Zynga will allow for me to apply my skill set to new and exciting challenges as well as allow me to grow and develop new skills as well. I am a great fan of Zynga games so to be a part of the process behind the games is an experience that I am excited for and look forward to. I have attached my resume for your review as well.
