Sample cover letter for Full Time position at amazon

POSITION:

financial analyst

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am studying for a degree in mathematics at the University of Portsmouth, and I would like to apply for the position of a Financial Analyst that has recently been advertised on the University of Portsmouth Careers and Recruitment website and I enclose a copy of my CV for your consideration.

I have a range of numeracy skills developed through my background in mathematics. I am accurate in my work and I have a good eye for detail – I believe these qualities would be essential for working as a financial analyst for Amazon. Through my degree I have gained thorough experience of using standard office software – from Microsoft Excel to Microsoft Word. I have gained experience in manipulating spreadsheet data and producing user- friendly graphs, tables and reports. I found this subject very stimulating.

From the list of basic qualifications on your job advert I have noticed that you typically look for applicants who express a desire to take responsibility and ownership for projects. On my CV I have included examples of when I have demonstrated such attributes through my role as a Mid-day school supervisor to being my secondary school’s football captain for three years in a row. I believe this shows that I am a good team player and am highly responsible.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Yours sincerely,
