i recently sent an email,seeking information regarding the recruitment policy for
undergraduates.Please accept this letter and enclosed resume as an application for a
consulting internship position at Boston Consulting Group.Based on my research for
your firm and my qualification,i am confident you will agree that i am a good fit for your
organization.I will complete my Btech in computer science and engineering in July
2016 from Techno India Saltlake,Kolkata and i look forward to the possibility of joining
BCG.


My interest in a consulting career is long standing and coupled with strong
analytical,communication,leadership and teamwork skills.Although i am a student of
engineering i am applying for an internship here,because the life of a consultant,which
includes new challenges everyday,working hand in hand with a team to deliver
efficient business solutions is something which excites me.I am applying for this
internship,specifically at BCG,because of the intensive training program that every
intern receives and the excellent work culture here.I truly believe what Mr
Vaidyanathan(Partner and Managing Director)had to say about BCG-"BCG has an
environment where i can explore beyond the confines of my technical education and
leverage my background in a range of projects".I feel i am a good fit for the
firm,because of my strong analytical skills,which helped me in securing a rank among
the top 60 in an aptitude test,conducted a few months back,where students from over
60 engineering colleges in kolkata took part.I am also the captain of my section
football team in college.I can recall an recent match with the all powerful university
team,which we won despite being the underdogs.In this match,i made a couple of
strategic changes in the team and i also scored a brace,which resulted in a win for us.
BCG values like integrity,Respect for individuals etc and the huge social impact of
BCG like the successful launch of a meningitis vaccine developed with clients for sub-
Saharan Africa are truly inspiring.
