GOT THE JOB? Yes

I would like to acquire further research experience in finance and business combined with data analysis skills at QMSS. Being a research assistant may inspire my master thesis and my future career path. After viewing the topics listed, I’m more interested in the finance and business topics provided by business school. My research interest is supported by my academic background and social experience during undergraduate time.

To illustrate my academic background, I’m holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from University of Amsterdam. To further develop my mathematics and programming skills, I challenged advanced econometrics courses at London School of Economics. Besides that, I went to Emory University for exchange, taking computer science, real analysis, and complex variables courses. The enriched studying abroad experience makes me well-prepared and qualified for academic writing skills and analytical skills.

As for my social experience, I managed an investment banking internship related to Merger&Acquisition in a Dutch company in Amsterdam. During the internship I was able to getting inside the mechanism of a real finance world. Before that, I was involved in a business development program in Manila, the Philippines. The program was about helping people making a better community on their own based on a social entrepreneurship business model. These social experiences enable me to acquire instincts in business.

Therefore, I’m confident of quickly getting used to the research assistant position, and doing a great job at Columbia.
