Dear Hiring Manager,
I am a graduate student at New York University, majoring in Management of Technology. Technology and Innovation is something that has always driven me and the background of Information Technology is what keeps me tuned to the technical part. I am currently seeking summer internship and found the perfect match for my skills through the job description of Data Analyst intern.
The exposure to Information Technology during my undergraduate education exposed me to a variety of aspects required to sustain in a business community. I had to work on a project, Cheat Detection System, where we in a team of 4 had to develop a system which can successfully detect the cheating that occurs during examinations and while finishing off assignments. The project which had to be presented in a year's duration taught me the importance of possessing the interpersonal skills and the importance of working together as a team. I was granted the SPIKE Fellowship at NYU this semester which gives the exposure of working in an entrepreneurial environment, constantly challenging the skills and the knowledge that I possess. I was working as a Quality Assurance intern in Avanan, a startup entity and a part of NYU incubator. The role inspired me to grow as an individual by giving me the exposure of working in a real time business environment. My leadership skills involve organizing and conducting various collegiate events during my undergraduate studies. Pursing my Masters in Management of Technology exposed me to the areas of Marketing, Operations Management and Business Analytics which gave me an understanding of tools like RStudio and Tableau from a business perspective. Moreover, I am a detail oriented individual thinks outside the box and who is more than willing to take the initiative. I feel the various analytical, decision making and managerial roles undertaken by me as a student and the skills that I can bring to the table makes me suitable for the post of Data Analyst intern.
