I am writing to apply for the position of Chartered Accountant in the Taxation department, as advertised in The Sample Careers section on the 30th April 2009.

My qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, in addition to my extensive experience in taxation and accounting for large corporate organisations make me perfectly suited to this role. My most recent position was Taxation Consultant to Oaktree Industries, where I provided expert advice on GST, superannuation and capital gains tax.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting Degree from XYZ University in 2001, after which I completed the Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (GradDipCA) through the Chartered Accountants Institute, involving three years of mentorship while employed with Silvergun Accountants.

Like Chartered Champions, Oaktree Industries and Silvergun Accountants are large, busy organisations with demanding deadlines and complex taxation systems. I was privileged to receive mentoring from the Head of Taxation at Silvergun Accountants and I diligently applied my skills and knowledge to administering tax advice and solutions in the five years I spent at Oaktree Industries.
