Sample cover letter for Internship position at jhpiego

POSITION:

project officer

I am submitting myapplication for the post of Project Officer- Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIDSTreatment.

The interest grewfrom my firsthand experience working with children infected with HIV, learningtheir limitations more so those living in poverty limiting them to care. As apart of my work, I was visiting schools and orphanages which made me reflect onthe long-term issues they had including gender based violence, and stigma amongothers which made it difficult to access care and treatment.

I was extremelyperturbed with the stereotypes the small kids had in their mind about HIV andnot having any one to talk to them and ask questions. This experience was bothsaddening and intriguing for me.

I endeavour to keep abreast of the latest standardsin HIV/AIDS care and treatment in children and adolescents. In addition to myformal qualifications, I have extensive experience pediatric HIV/AIDS testing, care and treatment, TB screening and treatment, maintaining policies andprocedures. Also, I have been actively engaging myself in communitymobilization and have done one large scale community events in this year.

I am passionate about accelerating children’s HIV/AIDStreatment and given the opportunity, I would apply myself with energy andenthusiasm to this position. I firmly believe that my education aswell as my experience will add value to the project. Further, by associatingmyself with the project, I’d be able to enhance my learning in the field ofHIV/AIDS.

I am highly valued for my outstanding communicationskills, and my ability to manage relationships with colleagues with positivityand professionalism.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss mycandidacy with you in more detail, and look forward to hearing from you.
