The prospect of joining your L’Oreal Team really excites me and thus I am applying for a position under your Supply Chain and Operations Management Trainee Scheme. I have done immense research in anticipation of job applications and L’Oreal has stood out to me, not only as an incredibly successful company with a prestigious reputation but one which challenges employees whilst providing an inspiring environment with training that sets one up with the best platform for a progressive career.

My economics and politics degree has prepared me for this role in numerous ways. I’ve come out of university with a unique understanding of the world given the balance between the focus on markets, pricing and corporate competition and the relationships with governments, communities and other companies. The skills I have development through my work experience and my time at school and university is hugely applicable to the management trainee role. My job as a marketing assistant required high level of personable skills with clients and the team, which saw my confidence, thrive. In addition, I worked as a research assistant at an investment fund and I gained a great understanding behind the formalities and operations of both the company I was working for and its client’s companies. Getting behind the scenes and actually understanding how the company works was so interesting to me. I was seeing operations in a new light from always being a customer to then appreciating how a product transforms from individual parts to a sellable good. I was so pleased that my drive showed through and I was asked to return for another internship the following year. I have been in a position of leadership and performed successfully similarly to the success I’ve experienced as part of both a small and large team. Throughout my life sports has been a big passion of mine, which perfectly demonstrates my team playing skills, from being a member of a new team at university to captaining my netball team at school and Hong Kong Hockey team I have demonstrated organisation, cooperation and mutual respect.

My strongest traits would be a hard work ethic, effective efficiency and an enthusiastic intrigue for what I am doing.
