Sample cover letter for Internship position at morgan stanley

POSITION:

analyst

Please accept my attached resume for consideration for your Institutional Equity Summer Analyst position. I have always had a passion for mathematics. I thrive on analyzing data and solving challenging problems. As a sophomore at Vanderbilt University majoring in Economics with a minor in Corporate Strategy, I know that I would bring a lot of enthusiasm to this positon. I plan to pursue a career in finance after college and am eager to gain deeper insight into the financial markets.

As I continue to strive for academic success, I enjoy working with my peers and have had valuable experience through my clubs and school organizations. I am currently Assistant VP Finance of Kappa Delta sorority in which I manage our house’s financial affairs and budgets. I have gained great insight into how to operate the finances of a legitimate institution, dealing with local companies and to maintain order among the different aspects of the position.

I have recently joined both the Finance and the Investment Clubs in the hopes of exploring different fields of business. I plan to pursue a career in finance but am not certain which specific area I am interested in. I hope to gain new insight and knowledge regarding the many career paths available through these clubs. Additionally, I volunteer at the Susan Gray School where I am paired with a young toddler and spend an hour each week with him. I am also involved in a program at a local middle school at which I mentor children. These two service activities have enabled me to acquire better communication and leadership skills, which are imperative in the business world.
