My work experience and my ongoing degree in accounting and finance has made the finance placement at pfizer very interesting to me. The responsibilities in the job description fit my competencies because of my degree course in accounting, as well as previous work experience. Communication both written and verbally are strengths of mine as well as strong math skills and I also have a basic understanding of what would be expected of me on the technical accounting aspects. Areas like data validation, financial management reporting and forecasting are areas I have covered in my introduction to accounting, professional studies 2 and management accounting modules. I found studying these areas interesting and being able to apply this knowledge in a real finance role at Pfizer would be exciting and invaluable experience for me. If accepted I would be determined to work hard and with enthusiasm eager to take on any tasks given and complete them in a focused and determined manner.
