Sample cover letter for Full Time position at unicef

POSITION:

Travel Assistant

Dear Madame/Sir,

In response to your job opening, please consider my resume in your search for the post of Travel Assistant. I believe my background and skills closely match your job requirements and I am confident I can make a positive contribution to Unicef.

The invaluable administrative experience I gained working at a number of different fields has developed my organizational, secretarial, administrative and public relations skills. Highly competent user of MS Word, Excel, Internet, Powerpoint, Altec Accounting Software. I speak fluently French, English, Greek and I am currently studying Danish language (module 2).

During my university years, in the summers, I worked as an assistant in a travel agency in Greece; my abilities, such as being consistently courteous and helpful, meeting and greeting clients in person, providing ferry tickets, booking hotels and tours, are still part of my experience and personal nature.

Throughout my career I have been known as a quick learner and I am more than willing to learn Amadeus air ticketing system and IATA travel rules and regulations.

Working for HIMA (Hellenic Institute of Marine Archaeology) was mainly team-work, which meant we had to co-operate with each other, so that each one could help or rescue the rest. I am able to focus and remain calm when under pressure.

The challenging, long-lasting circumstances with a large number of international associates, have developed my adaptation skills in any social and natural work environment.

Since leaving secondary education I have always worked, in order to support my studies and family, therefore I am quite familiar with overcoming obstacles. I am conscientious, committed and always willing to help.

It will be an honor for me to work for Unicef, an organization that I admire and respect for its endless effort to create a better world for children and to promote humanitarian values in our troublesome world.

Thank you for your consideration
