In the summer of 2011, NASA selected the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS), a nonprofit organization, to manage the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. National Laboratory. CASIS serves as the entryway to accessing the low-Earth orbit environment of the ISS U.S. National Lab and to joining a diverse and dynamic community of researchers, innovators and educators who seek discoveries that will take us beyond the current thresholds of science, engineering, technology and education to create a more vibrant and thriving future for citizens of the world.
