Next Challenge: Campus Analytics Challenge 2022: Determine Transaction Categories Using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing |

This challenge is initiated and supported/sponsored by ViiV Healthcare.
In 2014 UNAIDS adopted a goal that by 2020 90% of people living with HIV will be diagnosed. In order to achieve this goal, those at risk need to be regularly tested. Currently, not enough college students are making sure to do this.
We want to find a creative new way to encourage students to get HIV tests on a regular basis. Standard ideas like commercials and bland advertisements are not going to cut it. Unique ideas that connect with this demographic on their own terms are the way to go. How can we effectively encourage more college to get tested for HIV on an annual basis?
Propose an idea to encourage college students to get an annual HIV test:
1. What is your idea to get college students to get an annual HIV test?
2. How will you successfully implement and spread awareness about your idea?
3. Why is your idea the most effective means to reach and impact the college student demographic?
4. (Optional) Sketches, advertisements, renderings, drawings, mock-ups, charts, videos, graphs or any other visuals that better illustrate your idea.
Special option: Complete this challenge but instead of the college student demographic, focus on the 18-24 year old gay community.
We’re looking for big, bold, unique ideas. Gamification, suggesting a partnership with a tech company, or designing an app are great places to start. No boring/standard advertising campaigns.
Things to consider:
- How we’re selecting winners: The best ideas will clearly explain why they are likely to drive behavioral change, be cost-effective (not too expensive!), and be widely scalable across the US and potentially the world.
- No scare tactics! We do not want to scare people into getting tested, using fear-mongering or fear to inspire action is not an acceptable solution.
- Data? If there is data or research to support your idea, include it. If not, we still want to hear from you!
- Show us your idea! Including images or drawings is a great way for us to better understand your concept.
- Make it last! Your idea should be applicable over a long period of time, one-off campaigns are not encouraged.
By participating in this challenge you agree to the additional specific terms attached below.
