Next Challenge: Future of Footwear - what’s next? |
Recently, MindSumo asked students to explore new ways to create and publish books. Now, we’re ready to announce that Flatiron Books, a Macmillan imprint, wants to turn your ideas into a book!
After reviewing the solutions from the first challenge, Flatiron decided that the subject of the MindSumo community’s book will be “how to do it yourself.” The book will be geared toward college students and young adults and will contain practical tips, suggestions, and knowledge that will apply to everyday life and to business.
Please note: this is the second in a series of related challenges, culminating in the publishing of the book we all will build. In addition to the prizes below, all student winners will receive public acknowledgement of their collaboration (directly in the book), as well as free copies of the finished version once published.
For the second challenge, we want your ideas on how we should find content or an author or authors for the book. Strong solutions will include the following:
(1) Suggested topics for individual chapters.
(2) How we should collect content from broad or unusual sources, or find and choose an author or authors.
Ideal solutions will be cost effective and achievable in a short period of time, while still allowing the publisher to fairly compensate participants and contributors. Particularly welcome are solutions that feature use of technology or draw from unusual avenues to gather diverse voices.
