How can we positively sway people's opinions on dairy?

A number of today’s trends are steering people away from consuming dairy. There’s no doubt you’ve noticed the rise of plant-based and non-dairy alternatives (almond milk latte, anyone?) as many consumers have continued to choose dairy foods less frequently. We want to hear directly from you what you think about dairy foods, in particular what problems you may have with them and why you may not choose them for yourself. Just as importantly, we also want to hear your unique ideas that will bring dairy foods back into the spotlight in a positive way!
Deliverables
We want to understand the problems people see with dairy foods (milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, pudding, etc.) and find unique ways to address them. Specifically, answer the following:
- What are the main issues you see with dairy foods? Why?
- How could these problems be addressed? If it helps to focus your answer, choose one problem you described in question 1 and propose a solution for it.
Considerations: For deliverable 2, we are open to any type of idea you may have! For example, you could propose a marketing / communications idea, packaging, consumer education, offering a new spin on an existing dairy product, etc.
