We all aspire to be more fit, eat healthier, and exercise more regularly. When trying to develop a healthier lifestyle, one of the first things many of us turn to is running! With just a pair of shoes, we have the power to get out there and get fit, no gym membership or equipment required. Running gives us the freedom to exercise at our own pace, according to our own schedule, and for as long or intensely as we want to. While the run is not always fun, it gives us that rewarding feeling afterwards, and we promise ourselves that we'll keep at it.
When it comes to personal performance, some of us might aim to run longer, run faster, or just finish without feeling dead tired. Others may set a goal of running a race and use that as motivation. Some might join a running group as a rewarding way to maintain our commitment. Whatever your approach, at the end of the day, we all hope that the run will feel sort of effortless, that it will be pain-free, and that a constant energy will flow through us to propel us to finish strong.
We want to help all runners maximize their own personal performance and run more effortlessly, thereby achieving their individual running goals. Specifically, we are interested in knowing exactly what it is you are looking for in all aspects of your run, including your shoes, your actual experience, and your personal goals.
Please help us by answering the following:
- Describe what you are looking for from each of the following listed below. Please be descriptive yet specific by telling us exactly what you are striving for or what you envision (this could be sensorial, emotional, physical, etc.)
- Your running shoes
- Your experience of going for a run
- Your running goals (running speed, running distance, race times, etc.)
- Propose a tagline (i.e. a couple of words or a phrase) to capture exactly what you are looking for or that describes how you want to feel from your run (whether it's from using a particular shoe, achieving a certain goal, etc.).
- Think about the tagline you proposed in deliverable 2. What do you think would be most helpful in delivering that result or feeling? Is this something that a shoe could deliver, or something that you'd have to personally achieve through the process of getting fit, participating in a race, etc?
