Projects & Publications

UAVGreen Senior Design

28 Aug 2017 to 27 Apr 2018 Link
Senior Design Project for UCF 2017-2018 Designed and modeled wings and tail of UAV with 106" wingspan. Analyzed lift and drag characteristics of various airfoils to design wing. Analyzed and researched spar options to ensure wing will support forty solar cells. Performed calculations on stability and tail volume as well as control surface deflections. Helped with overall aircraft design to carry 32 oz. Gatorade bottle while generating solar energy. Developed technical reports and risk mitigation tables each week. Presented and defended design during critical design review with advisers. Developed comprehensive bill of materials and corresponding drawing sets. Addressed issues during build phase and was hands-on during build phase. Competed in internal UCF competition to fly aircraft successfully with innovative design; placed first in competition.
Activities & Interests

As an aerospace engineer, I greatly appreciate both space and aviation and could see myself working in either industry. Ultimately, I'd like to take on a leadership role working in project management or mission control in some capacity.
As for hobbies, I am very active in sports (namely soccer and surfing) and am very musically inclined (playing a range of instruments from clarinet to percussion to guitar).
